Welcome to Year 5, an exciting year filled with new challenges, opportunities and memorable experiences. The Year 5 team is led by Miss Bearne and supported by Mrs Slater. As pupils move into Upper Key Stage 2, they are encouraged to become increasingly independent, resilient and responsible learners while continuing to develop their confidence and creativity.
Throughout the year, children will enjoy an engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity and a love of learning. From exciting class texts and creative writing opportunities to investigations in maths, science and the wider curriculum. We place a strong emphasis on encouraging children to challenge themselves, work collaboratively and take pride in their achievements. We celebrate effort, kindness and positive attitudes every day. Children can earn house points, marbles in the jar, and our special Values Crown—all encouraging teamwork, perseverance and pride in their achievements.
Year 5 is a fantastic opportunity for children to grow academically, socially and emotionally. We look forward to supporting them every step of the way. We are excited for a year full of learning, laughter and success!
